The Westsail 43 is a substantial, heavily built bluewater cruising sailboat designed for sailors looking for offshore capability, generous tankage, dependable systems and the ability to remain self-sufficient for extended periods away from the dock. Built in Costa Mesa in 1976, this fiberglass cruising vessel has a displacement of approximately 32,000 lbs. and has been completely refitted and outfitted with an extensive collection of cruising, navigation, communications and renewable-energy equipment.
This particular Westsail 43 has benefited from significant recent investment, including an extensive suite of newer Raymarine electronics, Raymarine Quantum 2 Doppler radar, Axiom 9 chartplotter, AIS 700, Ray 63 VHF, CPT autopilot, Starlink High Performance satellite system, 600 watts of solar, a 400-watt wind generator and a 3,000-watt inverter/charger.
