J Boats is well known for designing fast, easily sailed, and comfortable racer cruisers. The 110 is no exception.
The J110 was designed to be a fast and comfortable performance cruiser. The cockpit is set up perfectly for short handing, with the mainsheet, jib sheet, and backstay adjuster all within reach of the helm. With short handing in mind, the J110 is designed with a very low center of gravity, allowing her to perform extremely well without any crew on the rail. This aspect of her design makes her perfect for the strong winds and seas that Hawaii has to offer most of the year.
Down below, you'll find a well equipped galley with a Force 10 2 burner stove/oven combo and a large top loading fridge/freezer. Forward is a spacious salon with an integrated nav station that features a top of the line B&G chartplotter and electronics. Towards the bow is the large V berth and head off to the port side. Looking aft, you'll find a full sized quarter berth to starboard, with plenty of space for 2. To port, there is access to the extremely large cockpit lazarette.
"Heatwave" is a Pacific Cup veteran, and is well equipped for offshore sailing, including a watermaker. She features a recently replaced mainsail and a 100% roller furling jib. She has an inventory of older racing sails, including a furling code 0 and multiple spinnakers in good condition. Her bottom was last done in October of 2024 and the topsides are freshly repainted and gripped. Down below, the cabin sole and brightwork are all recently refinished and in immaculate condition.
