This Cal 2-27 has been exceptionally maintained by its current and previous owners. The standing wire rigging (2023) , sails, bottom paint (2024), and engine (2022) are all in excellent shape. The interior brightwork, tiling, and upholstery are all more or less new. This boat would make a great liveaboard for a single person or couple in the Ala Wai Harbor. This boat feels very homey yet is fully capable of sailing interisland and beyond.

The Cal 2-27 was designed by Bill Lapworth and build by Jensen Marine in Southern California. The hull is solid fiberglass with bulkheads bonded to the hull and deck. Ronnie Simpson sailed his Cal 2-27 from the Pacific Northwest to New Zealand with stops in Hawaii and Fiji inbetween.
