Boston Whaler 25 Guardian is a legendary "commercial-grade" center console, essentially the heavy-duty, military-spec sibling of the classic recreational Outrage 25. This boat is a tactical workhorse produced by Brunswick Commercial & Government Products (CPD), and it is designed for search and rescue, law enforcement, and special operations. The hull layup is significantly thicker and more durable that recreational Boston Whalers with approximately 20% more resin and fiberglass than recreational models. This makes the hull stiffer and much more resistant to "hull slap" in rough water. Because of the deep-V hull (22° deadrise), it "slices" rather than "skims." While it requires more power than a flat-bottom boat, it handles the messy channel chops (like the Molokai Channel) significantly better than almost any other 25-footer. On top of that it has a reputation for being one of the best-riding boats Whaler ever made.
